Cheap Imitation is the experimental pop duo of the swedish artists Anders Olofson and Ann-Charlotte Rugfelt.

They met at art school in 2010 and started making music together. In 2011 they formed Cheap Imitation and soon became a part of the underground scene in Gothenburg.

They have been noticed for their unique sound created with a combination of acoustic and electronic instruments, effects and vocals.

In reviews Cheap Imitation has been compared to artists such as U.S Girls and The Flying Lizards.
